Our club is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental and social justice issues. From the beginning of September 2013, our club has become an increasingly active force on Brock University's campus. This website was created to improve our club's accessibility and outreach so we can stay better connected with our students, community, and other interested parties.
We are ratified under the Brock University Students' Union (BUSU), are an equity seeking group under the Brock Student Justice Centre (SJC), and are an action group with Brock's Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG).
In addition to educating Brock students and faculty about environmentalism, we hope to reach out to the broader community as well.
We'll be hosting our biggest event of the school year on March 19, 2014. The Eco conference "Growing Roots" is an entire day dedicated to raising awareness about environmental sustainability. There will be eco-friendly vendors, workshops, a very special keynote speaker, and much more!
The winter term is a busy time for Brock Eco. We have lots of events planned for the months of January through April, some of which we are still solidifying. To learn more about the events, and initiatives we have planned for the 2014 winter term, click the link below!
The fall term of 2013 was a very eventful period for Brock Eco. Our activity on campus ranged from club social events, to community clean ups, to free hot chocolate, and a highly successful campaign on campus (just to name a few). Check out all of our past events in more detail to see what we've done!
